Measure and retain
Tracking that matches your orders, not just your dashboard
If GA4 revenue is 30% below your order system, every decision downstream is built on sand. We implement ecommerce measurement so the numbers reconcile, the ad platforms get clean signals, and reporting answers the question the business is actually asking.
What changes
- GA4 purchase and funnel events that reconcile with orders within a few percent
- Server-side tagging that recovers signals lost to browsers and ad blockers
- A reporting layer that shows revenue by channel, template and cohort without a data team
Acts on: Revenue
What is included
The work, item by item
Measurement plan
Every event, parameter and conversion defined against the questions the business needs answered, before a single tag is written.
GA4 ecommerce implementation
Full data layer for view_item, add_to_cart, begin_checkout, purchase and refunds, with item-level data, on Shopify (including checkout extensibility), WooCommerce and headless builds.
Google Tag Manager governance
A clean container with naming conventions, version notes and a review process so marketing can add tags without breaking the site or the data.
Server-side tagging
A first-party tagging server on Cloudflare or Google Cloud that forwards purchase and conversion events to Google Ads, Meta and GA4 reliably, with enhanced conversions and the Conversions API.
Consent and privacy
Consent Mode v2 wired correctly, regional behaviour handled, and data retention aligned to policy so measurement holds up under review.
Reporting and attribution
Looker Studio or BigQuery-backed reports with MER, blended CAC, revenue by source and template, new versus returning, and cohort views, reconciled to your order data every month.
Focused work
Analytics tasks with their own page
On your platform: BigCommerce analytics agency, Headless commerce analytics agency, Shopify Plus analytics agency, Shopify analytics agency, WooCommerce analytics agency.
Fit
This is the right service if
If none of these sound like your store, the Growth Analysis will point at what does.
- GA4 revenue and your platform's order report have never agreed
- Ad platforms report more conversions combined than you actually had
- Your checkout migrated and purchase tracking quietly broke
- You make budget decisions from last-click reports you do not trust
How it runs
From first look to compounding results
Tracking audit
Tags, data layer, GA4 configuration, consent behaviour and ad platform conversions tested on real transactions, with a discrepancy report.
Implement and validate
Data layer, GTM and server-side tagging built on staging, validated with debug tooling and test orders, then released.
Reconcile
Thirty days of parallel running to compare GA4, ad platforms and orders, and to fix whatever still diverges.
Report and maintain
Dashboards delivered, monitoring set up for broken tags, and quarterly reviews as platforms change their APIs.

Questions
Analytics questions we get asked
Why does GA4 show less revenue than Shopify?
Usually a combination of consent declines, ad blockers, broken purchase events after a checkout change, and duplicate or missing transaction IDs. Server-side tagging and a corrected data layer close most of the gap; consent-related loss is real and should be reported as such.
Is server-side tracking worth it for our store?
For stores spending meaningfully on ads, yes. Recovering lost conversion signals improves Smart Bidding and Meta optimisation, and first-party cookies extend attribution windows. Below a few thousand dollars a month in ad spend the benefit is smaller.
Can you build attribution reporting without a data warehouse?
Yes. GA4 exports and platform APIs into Looker Studio cover most stores. When volume or complexity grows, we move the model into BigQuery.
Do you handle Meta and TikTok tracking too?
Yes. The same server-side setup forwards events to the Conversions API and TikTok Events API with deduplication so platforms do not double count.
