Platform
Growth engineering for Shopify stores
Shopify makes it easy to launch and surprisingly easy to plateau. The stores that keep growing treat the platform as infrastructure: clean themes, disciplined app use, product data that feeds every channel, and measurement that survives checkout updates. That is the work we do.
What shapes the work
How Shopify actually behaves
Platform facts decide the strategy. These are the ones that matter most for growth on Shopify.
Fixed URL structure
Shopify enforces /collections/, /products/ and /pages/ paths and does not support sub-folders for blogs or categories. Good Shopify SEO works with that structure through collection strategy, canonical handling of /collections/x/products/y URLs and careful use of tags.
Checkout is shared, not custom
Non-Plus stores cannot alter checkout beyond branding, Shop Pay and payment options. Conversion work therefore concentrates on product, cart drawer and pre-checkout trust, where the leverage actually is.
Apps are the usual speed problem
Each app can inject scripts on every page. Stores with twenty apps often carry half a megabyte of JavaScript they do not need. Removing and replacing apps is frequently the fastest performance win available.
Native Google and Meta channels
The Google and YouTube channel syncs products to Merchant Center and the Facebook and Instagram channel syncs to Meta's catalog. Both work well when product data is complete and poorly when it is the default export.

Common problems
What we usually find on Shopify stores
Collection pages with no content
A heading and a grid rank for nothing. Collections need buyer-intent copy, sub-collection links and FAQs to compete.
Duplicate product URLs
Products reachable under multiple collection paths need correct canonicals or the index fills with near-duplicates.
Tracking breaks after checkout changes
Checkout extensibility replaced additional scripts. Stores that never migrated their tracking are missing purchases.
App-driven slowness
Reviews, upsell, popup and chat apps stacked on a theme push mobile load times past the point where shoppers wait.

Is Shopify good for SEO?
Yes, with the right work. Its fixed URL structure and collection model are constraints, not blockers. Fast themes, well-built collections, proper canonicals and complete product schema let Shopify stores compete for any commercial query.
Should we move from Shopify to another platform to grow?
Rarely. Most growth ceilings on Shopify come from the store, not the platform. Plus resolves the checkout, B2B and scale limits for larger brands. We recommend a replatform only when a specific requirement cannot be met.
Can you work with our existing Shopify theme?
Yes. We audit the theme first and either improve it or recommend a rebuild, depending on which will cost less over the next two years.
