Build the store
Storefronts engineered for revenue, not just launched
A store is a piece of software that has to load in under two seconds, survive a Black Friday spike, sync with your ERP and still be easy to change on a Tuesday afternoon. We build stores with that job in mind, on the platform that fits, with SEO and tracking done in the build rather than bolted on afterwards.
What changes
- Core Web Vitals in the green on real devices, including the product page
- Custom features that would otherwise need three conflicting apps
- A codebase your team or the next agency can work in without a rewrite
Acts on: Product, Conversion, Cart, Checkout
What is included
The work, item by item
Theme and front-end development
Custom themes on Shopify Online Store 2.0, block-based WooCommerce builds, and component-based front ends for headless projects. Performance budgets are set before design starts.
Custom functionality
Bundles, configurators, B2B pricing, subscriptions, quote requests, store locators and anything else a stock theme cannot do, built as maintainable code.
Integrations
ERP, PIM, OMS, 3PL, marketplaces and email platforms connected through official APIs, webhooks and middleware, with error handling that alerts someone.
Replatforming and migrations
Catalog, customer, order and content migration with URL mapping and redirects planned so organic revenue survives the switch.
Performance engineering
Image pipelines, script governance, third-party audit, critical CSS and caching strategy, measured on real user data rather than a lab score.
SEO and tracking in the build
Structured data, canonical logic, faceted navigation rules, GA4 and server-side tagging designed into the store so they work on day one.
Focused work
Development tasks with their own page
On your platform: BigCommerce development agency, Headless commerce development agency, Shopify Plus migration agency, Shopify speed optimization, WooCommerce development agency.
Fit
This is the right service if
If none of these sound like your store, the Growth Analysis will point at what does.
- Your theme has been customised by four different developers and every change breaks something
- You are replatforming and cannot afford to lose organic traffic in the move
- You need functionality that no combination of apps delivers cleanly
- Site speed is costing you conversions and the last agency blamed the platform
How it runs
From first look to compounding results
Technical discovery
Requirements, integrations, data model and performance targets documented, with a platform recommendation if you are choosing one.
Design and build in sprints
Templates ship in priority order, product page first, on a staging store you can review with real products and real data.
Migration and launch
Data moved, redirects tested, tracking verified end to end, load tested, then launched at a quiet hour with a rollback plan.
Iterate with data
After launch the store enters the optimisation cycle: CRO, SEO and feature work driven by what customers actually do.

Questions
Development questions we get asked
Which ecommerce platform should we choose?
For most brands under a few hundred million in revenue Shopify or Shopify Plus is the pragmatic answer. WooCommerce fits content-heavy stores with existing WordPress investment. Headless makes sense when you have engineering capacity and a real need for it. We recommend based on your catalog, team and integrations, not on what we prefer to build.
How long does an ecommerce build take?
A custom Shopify theme typically takes eight to fourteen weeks from discovery to launch. Replatforming projects with complex integrations run longer, and we scope them honestly rather than promising a date we cannot hold.
Do you take over existing stores?
Yes. Many engagements start with a code review of an inherited theme, followed by a plan to stabilise it or rebuild it, whichever costs less over the next two years.
Who owns the code?
You do. Everything lives in your platform account and a repository you control.
