Measure and retain

Email that recovers carts and brings buyers back

For most stores, email and SMS are the cheapest revenue they will ever earn and the most neglected. Flows go unedited for years, campaigns go to everyone, and the abandoned cart series is the default template. We rebuild the retention system around how your customers actually buy.

What changes

  • Abandoned cart, browse and checkout recovery flows tuned to your purchase cycle
  • Post-purchase and replenishment flows that raise repeat purchase rate
  • Campaigns segmented by lifecycle and category so revenue per send goes up while unsubscribes go down

Acts on: Cart, Retention

What is included

The work, item by item

Account and deliverability setup

Authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), sending domain warm-up, list hygiene and consent capture that keeps you inboxed and compliant with CASL and CAN-SPAM.

Core flows

Welcome, abandoned cart, abandoned checkout, browse abandonment, post-purchase, replenishment, win-back and back-in-stock, each with timing and content based on your data rather than platform defaults.

Segmentation

Lifecycle stages, predicted value, category affinity and engagement recency used to decide who gets which campaign, and who gets left alone.

Campaign calendar

A monthly plan built around launches, seasonality and inventory, written and designed to your brand, with a testing cadence for subject lines, offers and send times.

SMS

Added where it earns its cost: transactional updates, cart recovery and high-intent campaigns, with consent handled properly.

Revenue attribution

Flow and campaign revenue reconciled against orders so platform-attributed revenue does not overstate what email actually caused.

Fit

This is the right service if

If none of these sound like your store, the Growth Analysis will point at what does.

  • Email is less than 15% of revenue and your list is larger than 20,000
  • Your abandoned cart flow is one email with a discount code
  • Every campaign goes to the whole list and open rates keep sliding
  • You have a Klaviyo account and no one owns it

How it runs

From first look to compounding results

  1. Retention audit

Flow performance, list health, segmentation, deliverability and revenue attribution reviewed, with the repeat-purchase gap quantified.

  2. Rebuild the flows

Core automations rebuilt and launched in priority order, starting with the cart and checkout recovery series because it pays first.

  3. Run the calendar

Monthly campaign planning, copy, design and sends, with segmentation rules that adapt as engagement data comes in.

  4. Optimise for repeat rate

Flows and campaigns tested against repeat purchase rate and revenue per recipient, and the learnings shared with the ads and CRO work.

Questions

Email questions we get asked

Which email platform do you recommend for ecommerce?

Klaviyo is the default for Shopify and most WooCommerce stores because of its data model and integrations. We also work in Omnisend, Mailchimp and enterprise platforms when a client is already invested in them.

How much revenue should email drive for an online store?

Well-run programmes commonly produce a fifth to a third of revenue, though it varies with purchase frequency and list size. The more useful measure is repeat purchase rate and revenue per recipient over time.

Do you write and design the emails?

Yes. Copy and design are produced in-house to your brand guidelines and approved by you before anything sends.

Can you fix our deliverability problems?

Usually. Most inbox placement issues trace back to authentication, list quality or sending patterns, all of which we can correct and then monitor.
