Traffic: hair type, wash-day problem and ingredient, in that order
Haircare demand is described in the shopper's own hair vocabulary: curl pattern numbers, porosity, fine or coarse, colour-treated, oily roots with dry ends, flaky scalp. The searches that convert combine one of those with a product type or an ingredient, such as leave-in for low porosity hair or rosemary scalp oil. A store with a Shampoo collection and a Conditioner collection captures almost none of it. The traffic lever is a hair-type and concern architecture, with every combination that has demand built as an indexable collection carrying its own copy, a wash-day guide for each hair type with products attached, and Shopping listings whose titles say who the product is for.
